How Do You Think Medium.com Could Be Improved?
Medium is a huge platform.
Statistically speaking, as of March 30, 2024, the numbers are impressive:
700,000 subscribers and 100 million registered users.
But do you ever feel like it’s stagnating? What new features have you noticed on the platform in the past year or so? Has the value they’ve added truly benefited you as a reader, a writer, or both?
Hear me out.
I have something to add on this and would love to start a discussion about it.
What’s Missing?
How do you use Medium?
Most of us read, write, clap, and leave comments. But the comment section is the only real way to communicate — and it doesn’t feel like enough, right?
At least, that’s how I feel. There’s no way to stay in touch with my audience, no option for direct communication (private messages), and no space for group chats.
It’s hard to connect beyond brief comments. Can we improve this? Absolutely.
